Purpose
At the heart of my work is the core belief that the connection between our minds and bodies is sacred. I truly believe that we are capable of anything when our nervous systems are in harmony. To me this simply means that the better I feel in my body the easier the rest of life gets. There are many parts to the picture of wellness, and massage is one of them.
My specialty areas are neck injuries, migraine relief, athletic recovery, regular maintinence for chronic conditions and general relaxation and stress relief. Using tried and tested techniques, ancient and modern, massage therapy can help to remind your body which way is true north and set you up for success.

Deep Tissue / Neuromuscular Therapy
Deep tissue massage is a specific kind of massage that targets individual muscles, and sends direct signals to your brain to relax and repair that muscle. Deep Tissue is sometimes regarded as more intense but does not need to involve deep pressure to affect the muscles. Deep Tissue is great for treatign old injuries or chronic pain.

After you enter the room we would have brief chat, checking in about your treatemnt needs for the day’s session. Before leaving the room I will give a few instructions as to how you should be laying on the table. After that would be a 60-90 minute treatment for the areas we discussed paying attention to. I’ll leave the room again for you to get ready before checking out.
For first time clients I like to have 10-15 minute intake where we talk about your history with injuries, any areas of discomfort and introduce ourselves.
